Randy Meyer Racing is heading back to Cecil County Dragway September 25-26th for the Chesapeake Fall Classic presented by ARP Bolts, bringing two A/Fuel Dragsters to the Maryland facility with Gary Pritchett and Rachel Meyer behind the wheel.
The event marks a return to Cecil County for Pritchett, who drove Randy Meyer Racing to a runner-up finish at last year’s $15,000 Top Alcohol Dragster Shootout at the track. With the event returning this year under the Chesapeake Fall Classic name, Pritchett will once again pilot a Randy Meyer Racing A/Fuel Dragster as he looks to finish one spot better.
For Pritchett, the weekend also carries some extra significance. Cecil County Dragway is his home track, making the opportunity to race there with Randy Meyer Racing particularly special.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in Randy Meyer’s A/Fuel car this weekend and racing with Randy and the team again,” said Pritchett. “Even better that we get to do it at Cecil County Dragway. There’s no place like home. Chad Porter and Jim Halsey have put a lot of work into making this race happen, and I’m glad to be a part of it. A lot of great classes racing this weekend. It’s going to be one hell of a show.”
Joining Pritchett will be Rachel Meyer, who will make her first-ever pass down Cecil County Dragway this weekend. The event gives Meyer another opportunity to compete before the conclusion of the 2026 season and adds a new track to her racing résumé.
“I’m so excited to be racing at a track I’ve never been down,” said Meyer. “I heard this race was pretty fun last year, so I’m so blessed to be a part of it this year. I can’t thank Gary and the track enough for putting on this race. It gives me an opportunity to get one more race in before the end of the season, and I hope we can come out with a win to end on a high note.”
With Pritchett returning to a track where he already has a runner-up finish and Meyer making her Cecil County debut, Randy Meyer Racing will have two opportunities to put the team’s A/Fuel Dragsters in the spotlight throughout the weekend.
